### Managing your site with AI

# Practical: Moderate and Classify Comments

## **Learning objectives**

By the end of this exercise, you will be able to:

 * Apply AI-assisted comment moderation to a set of test comments
 * Apply AI classification to organize content by topic or type
 * Evaluate where AI moderation and classification calls need human review

---

## **Before you begin**

You will need a live site or local environment with a connected AI provider, plus
a handful of test comments on a post. A mix of genuine, spam-like, and borderline
comments works best.

---

## **Moderating with AI**

Enable AI-assisted comment moderation and run it against your test comments. Compare
its flags against your own judgment: where do you agree, and where would you have
moderated differently?

📸 **Screenshot placeholder:** the comment moderation queue showing AI-generated
flags alongside a set of test comments.

---

## **Classifying content**

Use AI classification on a small set of posts or comments to sort them by topic
or type. Check a few classifications by hand to see how consistently the tool applies
its own categories.

💡 **Why this matters for you:** Moderation and classification decisions affect
what other people see. Practicing on low-stakes test content now means you will
already know where AI is reliable and where you need to double-check before turning
it loose on your live site.

**What you’ll have when you’re done:** a moderated and classified set of test comments,
with notes on any calls you overrode and why.

---

## **✅ Check your understanding**

 1. Where did AI moderation disagree with your own judgment, and which of you was right?
 2. What would make you trust AI classification enough to stop spot-checking it by
    hand?
